PostSubject: My ae101 hatch   Sat Jun 22, 2013 10:29 pm

I'm a member on here a long time now but i just realized I've never posted a thread for my corolla. So here it is now Smile

I bought it last year for next to nothing and it and 5 months NCT Smile There was just over 140000 on the clocks and it was running nice and smoothly Smile

Inside the car was spottless which gave the impression it was well looked after, however the exterior had its fair share of parking dents and the roof was all laquer peeled. Sad

Also, the driver side arch and some rust on it Sad but this didnt bother me cause my dad is a panelbeater and i work with him so i was able to sort all these problems out myself Smile

My plans when i bought it were to respray it, fixing all the dents and arch Smile then get a 20 valve kit and alloys Smile

So far the spec for it is:
-1.3 4efe corolla solair
-Torquise Blue in color, resprayed same color
-Fully undersealed underneath and inside with black scutch and wax oil
-20 valve front and back bumper
-20valve splitter
-20 valve side skirts
-genuine foglights
-20 valve reflectors
-20 valve spoiler with brake light
-Unknown alloys
-JDM headlights
-Wind deflectors
-Cup holders
-Motorized headlight height
-Air conditioning
-Recaro Confetties to go it
-Power flow exhuast to go on

Future plans:
-20 valve silver top engine
-Tint back 3 windows
-different wheels

Heres some pictures of the stages it went threw Smile

when i got it

New Arch Smile

Under coating the car Smile

Painting it Smile

new lights Smile

just an example of what its like underneath before and after :Smile

cup holders, leather shift boot and TRD gear knob

Clocks

I have recaros coming on tuesday to go in and thats it for now Smile

All c&c welcome Smile

The changes you have made are aewsome it almost looks like my cars twin lol.

Do you have any pictures of fitting the 20v reflector by any chance because i know on mine i have to relocate where the lock goes on the boot.

Keep us updated mate

Nicely done!  I definitely like the fresh paint and head lights.  Good for you for fixing that rust!

yep theres 3 t10 bulbs like the ones in the link il post, make sure they're flat on the top otherwise there wont be much light Sad these are the ones i bought

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/6x-4-SMD-Super-Blue-LED-License-Plate-Light-Bulbs-194-T10-2825-921-168-/171070595889?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27d49a2331

then there is 1 t5 bulb, also flat top on it

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/10x-T5-74-37-BLUE-3-CHIPS-SMD-DASHBOARD-LED-CAR-BULB-K-/180401524954?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a00c4d0da

when fitting just unscrew the clock surround and then you'll see 4 screws holding in the clocks

take them out and unplug the connections

if your unsure which bulbs do what, take one out at a time and shine a light in through the hole and you'll see if in lights the clocks or a warning light Smile

A few updates to the car Smile

i finally got my exhuast on its a 3'' powerflow that i got free Razz

the biggest addition to the car are the recaro confetties i picked up a few weeks ago Very Happy

they're a bit dusty but overall in good condition and im happy with them Smile

i also got an armrest that i happened to seen in a scrappy one day Smile

think my next play is to put disks on the back and start saving for a 20 valve silvertop and running gear Razz
